Even as World AIDS Day this year is observed under the theme 'End inequalities End AIDS', Dakshina Kannada district has a reason to cheer. The number of HIV infections declined steadily from 607 in 2014-15 to 264 in 2020-21. In 2021-22, the district has recorded only 149 cases till October. While 60 pregnant women had tested positive for HIV infection in 2007-08, the number has come down to only two this year, till October.https://ift.tt/3EaExMQ
