K'taka: Sr citizen dies, residents seek traffic curbs Bangalore News: Latest Bangalore News Headlines & Live News Updates from Bangalore - Times of India

Residents of a classic orchard layout near Bannerghatta Road urged the police to regulate traffic through their layout in order to prevent accidents like the one that took place on Tuesday evening, when an elderly resident of the layout was struck by a speeding motorcycle while he was walking. The accident occurred at 7pm, and the resident died at a private hospital later. The residents raised objections to heavy traffic flow on the road through their layout, but the BMRC restricted traffic on the stretch as part of construction of the Kalena Agaraha Metro Station nearby. Despite the blockade at the junction of BKC Circle, the stretch has been seeing dense traffic as the road through the layout is used to enter and exit from Loyola School Gate and Meenakshi Temple Side on Bannerghatta Road.
