A 22-year-old man was arrested on Monday night for raping and smothering to death a three-and-a-half-year-old girl in Bengaluru. The autopsy report confirmed that the girl had been sexually assaulted. The heinous crime came to light when the girl's mother found her lying unconscious and took her to a hospital where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.
