The mother of a five-year-old dragged the management of a well-known city school to court for service deficiency following a tussle over fee refund. While the boy had to drop out of online classes days after enrolling as he was diagnosed with a medical condition needing occupational therapy, the school refused to return the Rs 2.8 lakh fee paid. The court has now ordered the school management to refund 50% of the fee with interest and pay Rs 15,000 to the affected parent as compensation for the insensitive approach.
