Over the past fortnight, the three major political parties — BJP, Congress, and JD(S) — besides others like AAP and SDPI, that are trying to gain a toehold in the state, released their manifestos which contained promises galore. While some promises tug at the emotions of voters, others pertain to development guarantees and schemes. But a common theme in all manifestos and promises is reservation.
