Tomato continues to be pricey with stakeholders saying prices are likely to cool down when fresh crops arrive in August. Farmers and traders from Kolar said the price spiral in Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka is due to fall in quantity of the produce. In Bengaluru, prices continued to hover around Rs 120 for a kg.
