As many as 262 government schools in Karnataka will start pre-primary sections from September this year for children in the 4-5 age group. The move comes amid reports that the demand for LKG/UKG in schools is rising among parents, especially in rural areas, with anganwadis not catering to educational needs of children, reports Sruthy Susan Ullas.
