Two women in Bengaluru have been accused of impersonating author and philanthropist Sudha Murty's staff and using her name to make money illegally. The women allegedly projected themselves as Murty's personal assistant and confirmed her participation in events, even though Murty had declined. One of the women also falsely advertised on social media, claiming that Murty would be the chief guest at an event in the US. The police have registered a case against the women and are trying to locate them. Charges include cheating, personation, and identity theft.
