The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) in India has resolved the land acquisition hurdles for widening the Panathur Main Road in east Bengaluru. Following a meeting between BBMP officials and landowners, the landowners have agreed to part with their properties in exchange for compensation. The road-widening project, which has been delayed for over a decade, is now expected to be fast-tracked.
