KPCC president and deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar has issued gag orders on Congress MLAs, forbidding them from discussing party matters in public. Only CM Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar himself are allowed to address the media. This comes after Congress MLA Channagiri Basavaraj Shivaganga stated that 70 new MLAs in the party would support Shivakumar for the CM's post. Shivakumar also dismissed claims that he alone was responsible for the party's victory in Karnataka.
