Operations on full Bengaluru Metro's Purple Line to start today Bangalore News: Latest Bangalore News Headlines & Live News Updates from Bangalore - Times of India

The entire Purple Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru will be opened for commercial operations. The missing links along the corridor will be commissioned, skipping a formal inauguration. The decision was made due to the pressing need and growing demand from commuters. The Union housing and urban affairs ministry directed the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to open the stretches without any official function. The two missing links, Challaghatta-Kengeri and KR Pura-Byappanahalli, will connect the eastern and western parts of the city.
