Bengaluru's energy demand has increased by 13-14% in the last couple of months due to a rise in temperature and the resumption of work. The electricity load in the city has steadily increased since April 2023. The seasonal forecast predicts a 2-degree Celsius increase in temperature, which may lead to higher power consumption. Commercial consumption, including shops, IT parks, and office spaces, has significantly increased. However, officials assure that there have been no power cuts or load-shedding in Bengaluru. The government is purchasing and supplying power to the region.
