Karnataka HC rules that bridges constructed on a rajakaluve without obstructing water flow cannot be considered encroachments. M/s Janaadhar India Private Limited, the petitioner-company, constructed the Janaadhar Shubha apartment complex comprising 1,128 apartments in Bengaluru. Anekal Planning Authority raised an objection, alleging encroachment on the rajakaluve. The petitioner argued that the bridges were built to allow residents to cross the divided property without affecting water flow. The government advocate also confirmed that the bridges did not disrupt water flow.
