Confusion among fifth-semester students of first grade colleges in Bengaluru as their institutions are unsure about offering a fourth year for their undergraduate programme. This is the first batch of NEP students who were enrolled in UG programmes with a fourth year. According to the NEP, these students could pursue a one-year master's or directly enroll in a PhD if they have a research component. Students were informed that a fourth year will be provided only if there are enough takers.
