The Maha Vikas Aghadi government, that came to power, against the mandate given by the voters of Maharashtra during the Assembly elections in 2019, met its fate due to its deeds. The MVA government failed on almost all fronts and hence it’s tenure will be marked as the ‘black period’ in Maharashtra’s history. This democratic system had never witnessed such a lackadaisical chief minister as it has been experiencing since the last two-and-a-half years during Uddhav Thackeray’s reign. People of Maharashtra surely must have been reminded of the Tughlaq dynasty during this time. Under the guise of fulfilling his promise to the Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray stabbed the Bharatiya Janata Party in the back and came to power.
