The Recognised Unaided Private Schools' Association (Rupsa) has written to Union finance minister Nirmala Seetharaman to restructure loans they had availed from banks and give them a moratorium of one year at least. In a letter signed by Rupsa president Lokesh Talikkatte, the association cites that around 2,500 schools in the state have shut or are on the verge of closing down since Covid struck.
