A court in Bengaluru has ordered the police to remove the name of the director of Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) from a cheating case. The court had previously directed the police to register a case against two private individuals, but the police mistakenly included the KEA director's name in the FIR. The complainant had accused the two private individuals and the KEA director of cheating him out of over Rs 36 lakh. The court has now instructed the police to register a case against only the private individuals. KEA has denied any involvement in the case.
