Wildlife poacher Chikka, wanted by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), has been arrested in Belagavi, Karnataka. Chikka, who is known for killing tigers and sloth bears, was found hiding in a tent on Gokak Road. Sandalwood pieces and weapons were recovered from the hideout. Forest officials are now working with the Maharashtra forest department and Wildlife Crime Control Bureau to further investigate Chikka's activities. Chikka was a member of the notorious poacher Sansar Chand's gang. He has been remanded in judicial custody.https://ift.tt/SCsLyX8
