The construction of the Ejipura flyover in Karnataka has been delayed for years, resulting in six different chief ministers overseeing the project. The government terminated the contract last year due to the contractor's financial problems. Now, the BBMP plans to resume construction through a new contractor. The new company will conduct structural tests through the Indian Institute of Science, and there will be no modifications to the previous alignment. The pending work is estimated to cost Rs 176 crore, with a cost escalation of Rs 93 crore. The project is expected to be completed in one and a half years.
